In view of Expo 2015, Discovery Italy is preparing special packages on the themes of the Exhibition, in particular the food excellences of our region and the environmental and architectural sustainability. Our proposals are designed for companies and individuals, but are adapted to the needs of each client. We offer a wide range of activities and destinations carefully selected among the many possibilities offered by the area in which we operate. For all we also offer the services (transport, entrance, escort) for the visit to the Expo, just 33 minutes by train from Turin. 

The visit to the Expo can be the occasion to discover the Piedmontese gastronomic excellences, in a path between knowledge and fun. With this tour you will discover the secrets of good coffee, real ice cream and the best wines in the world. You will know how Slow Food was born, the aperitif ritual and Italian chocolate. Thanks to our contacts, we have organized educational and engaging activities with excellent companies, combining business with pleasure.

Day 1 Arrival and guided tour to discover the best historical chocolate and coffee shops in Turin. Aperitif in one of the trendiest places, the Smile Tree Cocktail Bar


Day 2 Visit to the University of Gastronomic Sciences and the Wine Bank of Pollenzo, in the Langhe, with a presentation of Slow Food, and to the first Italian agrigelateria with a demonstration on the preparation of ice cream


Day 3 Day at Expo 2015 with transfer by high-speed train (35 minutes); visit with particular attention to the Slow Food philosophy (“good, clean and fair food”)


Day 4 Visit to the most typical centers of the Langhe (UNESCO heritage), Grinzane Cavour, Barolo, Barbaresco, Alba, with visits to wineries and wine shops and wine tastings


Day 5 Tour of some of Turin’s food industry excellence: visit and practical demonstration on the history and preparation of coffee (Vergnano) and aperitifs (Martini & Rossi)


Day 6 Visit to the Taste Museum of Frossasco with a course of typical Piedmontese cuisine and lunch with prepared dishes. In the afternoon departure

Turin has long been known as the “capital of the automobile”, due to the presence of many automobile companies that have influenced its economy and urban and social structure. Even today, when Turin is a less industrial and more touristy city, the car world is also at the forefront as a matter of style, design, becoming a tourist resource too. Day 1 Arrival and visit of Turin on the trail of the film The Italian Job, with a visit to the Cinema Museum and the Mole Antonelliana, symbol of Turin


Day 2 Visit to the heart of Turin’s automotive industry: the historic Fiat Mirafiori factories (and the Mirafiori Motor Village, Europe’s largest car space) and Pininfarina, one of the world’s design leaders.


Day 3 Day at Expo 2015 with high-speed train transfer (35 minutes)


Day 4 Visit to the Turin Automobile Museum and Lingotto, a historic Fiat factory transformed by Renzo Piano into an avant-garde exhibition space and convention center. After lunch at Eataly and the discovery of its universe of quality food products, visit the new Maserati factories in Grugliasco.


Day 5 Visit to the Juventus Stadium, a masterpiece of technology created by the Pininfarina company. In the afternoon departure

Day 2 Day at Expo 2015 with high-speed train transfer (35 minutes)

Day 3 Visit of the Environment Park with a presentation of Piedmont’s cutting-edge techniques and visit of the Intesa Sanpaolo skyscraper, which will be inaugurated in December 2014, a candidate for the LEED Gold energy certification


Day 4 Visit of the “Sustainable Village” of Usseaux and the Fort of Fenestrelle
Day 5 Visit of the Venaria Reale, which was the largest restoration project in Europe, of the former FIAT industrial area, the Lingotto, now redeveloped.
Day 6 Departure
